Where is Emerald Earth Organic Spa Located?
Located in Valemount British Columbia, our spa is within the Best Western Plus Hotel. You will find the spa on level 2 within the GYM / FITNESS CENTRE. Please make your way up there. If the door is closed, please be patient, we will open the door when ready for you, usually 5 minutes before your treatment time.

Emerald Earth Spa is a small owner run facility. Appointment spaces are limited so please book in advance. There is no receptionist, so it is best to book online via our secure booking platform. Want to get in contact with the spa? The best way to reach us is via email. Thank you for your patience.
What type of Services are offered at THE SPA?
We offer customized massage, organic spa facials, foot bliss therapy, hot stone massage, and spa packages.
We do NOT offer Registered Massage Therapy, Pedicures, Manicures or Waxing.
Can I claim my massage with my health benefit plan?
NO! Although our Spa Therapist has over 20 years of Massage and Spa experience, she completed her University Degree and Massage qualifications in Australia and is NOT a BC Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in Canada. Our spa services are not covered under health insurance benefits, and no receipts will be issued for health insurance purposes.
Do you offer direct billing at the Spa? NO.
Am I able to use the hotel pool and hot tub facilities?
YES! All massage and spa treatments include complimentary access to the pool and hot tub facilities at the Best Western Hotel prior to your treatment. These facilities are available for spa guests ONLY, please do not bring your kids, family or friends with you.
If using the facilities, please arrive 1hr early and check into the hotel front desk to gain access to the pool. Please bring your own water bottle, towels, sandals and robes for use in the pool facilities. Be showered and ready on level 2 for your therapist to greet for your scheduled appointment time.
Please note the use of these facilities is at the discretion of the Best Western Hotel Staff, please contact them for any pool related questions.
Can I bring my kids, family or friends with me to the spa, hot tub or pool facilities?
NO! Please do not bring anyone else with you to your spa appointment or to use the hotels pool and hot tub facilities. These facilities are for registered guests only. The spa is a small treatment space, our therapist needs space to preform your treatment, and we want you to relax and enjoy your time here.
What facial and body care products are used in the spa services?
Our own signature brand of Emerald Earth Natural Skincare is used in all spa treatments and available for retail purchase at the spa and online. Emerald Earth Natural Skincare is handcrafted by owner Sherrie Houghton in a private studio in Valemount BC. Products feature 100% natural and pure ingredients from the earth, eco friendly packaging and are luxurious high quality.
Can my friend and I have treatments at the same time?
NO! Please understand that I am only one therapist at the spa in one treatment room. I will be happy to book you one after the other, and there is the option to use the pool and hot tub facilities while to wait for each other.
Do you offer any discounted rates? YES!
VARDA Members discount 10% off spa services. Must show VARDA membership ID. Discount is for spa services only, not retail products.
Our apologies, as of January 1st 2023, we no longer offer locals discounted rates.
What is the cancellation policy?
We kindly ask that you give 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you give less than 12hr notice to cancel you will be charged 50% of your treatment price. Less than 3hr notice you will be charged 70% of your treatment price. If you are a NO SHOW to your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the treatment price.
Late cancellation and no show fees will be automatically charged to the credit card you have on file. By booking this treatment, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Please understand that your appointment is time we have set aside just for you. If you do not show for your appointment, we are left waiting for you, and have turned away other customers that would have taken your time slot. This is lost revenue and time for our therapists and small business.

How do I book a massage or spa treatment?
You can book directly online through our website booking schedule. If you can not find a time or date to suit your needs, or need help booking. Please call or email and I will be happy to help you book your appointment. Phone (250) 566-1747
Please note: You will need a valid credit card to reserve your appointment time.
What if I am late to my appointment time?
Please call of text us if you are running late to your appointment, so we know you are on your way. 250.566.1747 . Your appointment time will still finished at the scheduled time, and you will still be charged the full treatment time rate. We can not extend your treatment time due you to being late, as there is another guest booked in after you.
Do you accept walk in appointments?
NO! Our spa is not open for the general public to walk in, and I am available by appointment only.
How can I pay for the treatment?
We accept credit card, debit card and cash. You can pay in person after your treatment.
Is there tax added to the price?
YES! All massage and spa services are subject to 5% GST., which will be added at checkout.
Can I add a gratuity to my spa service?
YES! Gratuities are not included in your treatment price, but are much appreciated. You can add a gratuity to your treatment total upon payment.

Q. How can I redeem my GIFT CARD?
A. You can use your gift card in person at our SPA location for spa services or products. Bring your gift card with you so we can scan it at checkout.
You can use your gift card online to purchase Emerald Earth Skincare products, just enter your unique gift card code at checkout.
KEEP YOUR GIFT CARD SAFE! Treat it like cash, only you have access to the unique code.
What do I need to do before my massage?
To enjoy the benefits of the organic massage oils, spa products and for the comfort of your therapist please shower prior to arriving to your treatment. If you have any signs of illness please postpone your treatment for another time when you are feeling well. Your therapist takes care to sanitize all surfaces between treatments, and takes care in maintaining her own health and wellbeing.
Please do not consume drugs or alcohol prior to your appointment.
What do I need to do after my massage?
Relaxation and hydration are important self care post massage treatment. Drink plenty of water, rest and relax, and feel free to leave the massage oils, aromatherapies and skincare products on, they are hydrating and nourishing for your skin.
Can I purchase the Aromatherapy Oils to take home with me?
YES! Emerald Earth Essential Oils Blends are now available for retail purchase so you can take home with you and enjoy the relaxing aromas.
Can I purchase the Emerald Earth Facial Care products used in my treatment?
YES! All of our products are available for purchase in the spa. Or you can purchase online and we can ship your order to you.
