Here is the storey behind the creation of our beautiful studio in the woods.
Located in Valemount British Columbia surrounded by nature, this is where all your beautiful natural skincare products are handcrafted with love and care.
Our little skincare studio is an up-cycled building with an interesting history.
The building was originally built in 1980 as a helicopter rescue shack and was located in the high alpine of the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia. During a big winter storm in 2019 the heli-shack was destroyed and no longer of use to the helicopter company.
So my husband had it bought down from the mountains on the back of a big truck and it was dropped into the backyard of our home property.
We gutted the interior and fitted it with insulation, power, lighting, hot water and heating. New dry wall and flooring. As well as custom built, food safe, stainless steel countertops and sink area. Custom built shelving to hold all my packaging, ingredients and supplies. And we kept the original windows to let in some natural light and give a view to the nature and surrounding forest.
